In September, the school will open its second resourced base provision - an Inclusion Base for up to 12 pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4. The provision will support pupils with Speech, Language, Communication and Interaction Needs (SLCN) and Cognition and Learning needs.

This is an exciting opportunity, and we are seeking an outstanding practitioner who can teach across subject areas and effectively support pupils who may join us significantly behind their peers or with substantial gaps in learning due to disrupted or missed schooling.

The successful candidate will be creative, resilient, and highly collaborative, working as part of a committed team within the resource base. They will provide day-to-day leadership within the provision, including overseeing the work of teaching assistants, and will work closely with school curriculum leads and the other resource base teacher to deliver consistently high-quality provision.

A key focus of the role will be to build pupils’ resilience, confidence, and independence, enabling them, where appropriate, to successfully access mainstream lessons alongside their peers.

The role would particularly suit a practitioner with experience of primary-style teaching who is skilled in planning targeted interventions to accelerate progress in literacy and numeracy. However, we are open to applications from secondary teachers who have experience of teaching across a number of subjects. The successful candidate will be able to design and deliver an engaging, relevant, and highly personalised curriculum that addresses gaps in prior learning while preparing pupils to achieve Level 2 qualifications by the end of Key Stage 4.
