    Hours: 37 hours per week, 41 weeks (term time plus two weeks) plus 5 INSET days

    We're looking for a dedicated Leader of Pastoral Inclusion and Careers to join our supportive team at Aylward Academy.

    The Leader of Pastoral Inclusion and Pathways (Careers) is responsible for the leadership of the Pastoral Inclusion strategy within the school. This includes the design, development, implementation and quality assurance of pastoral support across the academy. You will be student facing and are responsible for developing and maintaining high standards of student culture. Within your remit, you will promote and support positive behaviour and high levels of attendance from students. Also within this role, you will be responsible for strategies to improve pastoral care; you will liaise with students, staff, teachers, families, alternative provision and agencies where required, and will support teachers to provide consistent pastoral care to students across the academy.

    Based in Edmonton, North London, Aylward Academy was established in September 2010 and is an 11-19 learning community with over 1,000 students on roll, including a thriving sixth form. Aylward is situated within a diverse and vibrant London community. Many of our students have English as an additional language, and a significant proportion are entitled to the Pupil Premium. The school is currently rated as GOOD by its last Ofsted inspection in July 2021.
