We have an exciting opportunity available for a proactive and technically skilled Learning Management System Specialist, to join us as a key member of the Workforce & Organisation Development Team here at Wokingham Borough Council, on a full-time, 12-month Fixed Term Contract.

You will play a pivotal role in managing, configuring, and optimising our LMS to support strategic learning goals, compliance, and an excellent user experience for all staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operation, maintenance, and updates of the LMS, ensuring optimal performance and accessibility.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external Learning Management t system providers and content providers.
  • Monitor system performance, collect user feedback, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop training materials, guides, and resources; provide ongoing user support.
  • Manage LMS content, including learning assignments, course creation, design of e learning.
  • Lead testing and implementation of system upgrades and new features.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and log performance/change requests.
  • Act as the primary contact for LMS enquiries, supporting end users.
  • Ensure system accessibility and inclusivity for all employees.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in ICT/Digital systems.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Learning Management Systems (e.g., Cornerstone, Moodle, Blackboard, Insendi).
  • Experience managing and configuring LMS platforms.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365.
  • Analytical skills and data literacy (Intermediate/Advanced Excel).
  • Ability to work to demanding deadlines and adapt to change.
  • Team player with initiative and sound judgement.
