    Learning Mentor Level 2 (Pay Grade H)

    £33,366 to £35,235 pro rata per annum - actual salary £29,516 - £31,169 per annum

    36hrs per week / 46 weeks per year

    The Governors of this large successful Catholic School wish to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Learning Mentor to join our school pastoral team. The successful candidate will work as part of a dedicated team of staff, committed to working within the core values of the school and our Mission Statement.

    You will need to have proven experience of working within a school’s pastoral team and be able to demonstrate the capacity to sustain and develop the current strategies, systems and processes in our very busy school to support pupil needs.

    Key areas of responsibility will be:

    • To work closely with pupils who have diverse learning, behavioural and SEND needs.
    • To identify barriers to learning in individual pupils using the Thrive baseline assessment.
    • To use the Thrive tools to develop and lead on an individual action plan for each pupil identified as needing help to overcome barriers to learning.
    • To develop one to one mentoring relationships with pupils needing support.
    • To meeting with parents to discuss and agree pupil action plans.
    • To analyse and evaluate data from Thrive assessments and adapt actions/intervention where necessary.
    • To work closely with external agencies to ensure pupils receive relevant, coordinated support.
    • To analyse data in relation to barriers to learning and identify strategies to improvement.
    • To present progress data to teachers and senior leaders on areas such as attendance and attainment.
    • To work closely with the designated safeguarding lead on safeguarding issues.

    Appointment is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service and health clearance by the Local Authority Occupational Health provider.
