About the Role

The Governors of Rudyard Kipling Primary School and Nursery wish to appoint a charismatic, highly motivated and nurturing Learning Support Assistant on a fixed term basis. This post will be to support children within our school who require individualised, creative and purposeful provision.

We are looking for a special person:

  • To join and further develop our nurturing and inclusive culture that strives for children to reach their full potential
  • To support the learning of children working on individualised learning plans
  • To plan fun, creative, playful and engaging activities
  • To be reflective and flexible
  • To work within a team in partnership with the SENCo, class teachers and other colleagues to support the children in reaching their best outcomes
  • To dynamically risk assess and manage children’s safety
  • To believe in outdoor education and embrace our wonderful grounds and resources
  • To follow our Empowerment Approach and School Values to enhance the children’s learning
  • To have an understanding of strategies which support SEND learners, such as Just Right, Makaton, Visuals, structure and routine
  • To have experience of supporting children with challenging needs and behaviour
  • To establish positive relationships with parents and families
