Do you have a passion for Music and want to inspire the next generation? Whether you’re already working in education and looking for your next role, or if you’re working in industry and looking to change your career path, we have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer to join our Music curriculum team in readiness for the start of the 2026/27 academic year, with an aimed start date of 19 August 2026.

Sharing your knowledge and experience to unlock the potential of our aspiring musicians whilst guiding them through their studies, you’ll work as part of the curriculum team to create and deliver sessions across a range of qualification levels, inspiring achievement and the best possible outcomes. The successful candidate will have experience as a professional musician and educator, be a team player, an excellent communicator, and able to maintain a proactive approach to managing deadlines, whilst retaining a high standard of delivery.

We are seeking a creative and passionate Lecturer in Music on a part time basis to deliver engaging, high-quality teaching across a range of music programmes. This role offers the opportunity to inspire learners in areas such as performance, composition, music technology, and music theory, while developing their technical ability, creativity, and confidence. The successful candidate will plan and deliver dynamic lessons, assess student progress, and provide constructive feedback to support achievement and progression. With a strong understanding of current industry practices and contemporary music education, you will help prepare learners for further study or careers within the music industry, while contributing to curriculum development and maintaining excellent standards of teaching and learning.

The Role:

Where you’ll work: This role is based at our Dartford campus.

Your hours: 22.2 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum (0.6 FTE).

Your pay: £36,941 to £44,121 per annum full time equivalent, dependent on qualifications and experience.

Salary range

  • £36,941 - £44,121 per year
