Join our Lettings Team at L&Q:

Join our revitalised Housing Management Division as a Lettings Officer and take ownership of a varied and rewarding caseload across the West region. This role offers the opportunity to directly influence void performance, resident satisfaction and the Trust’s wider financial and operational objectives.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced lettings professional who enjoys autonomy, accountability and working at pace in a customer-facing environment.

Your impact in the role:

As a Lettings Officer, you will manage a diverse caseload to ensure the Trust’s homes are let efficiently, compliantly and in line with the L&Q allocations policy, governance requirements and regulatory standards.

You will be responsible for reducing void times, maximising rental income and contributing to the team’s performance against key performance indicators, while maintaining a consistently high standard of customer service.

Working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners, you’ll play an active role in mutual exchanges, transfers and providing moving options advice to residents. You’ll also ensure accurate record-keeping, effective risk management and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

This is a fast-paced, public-facing role that requires sound judgement, strong organisation and the confidence to make decisions and see them through.

What you’ll bring:

You will bring proven lettings experience within social housing, along with a strong understanding of the allocations process and its impact on business performance, customer satisfaction and income.

You’ll be highly organised, with excellent time management and attention to detail, able to manage competing priorities while working accurately and proactively. You’ll be confident using MS Office and housing management systems and able to quickly adapt to new processes.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential, as you’ll work closely with residents, local authorities, internal teams and other key stakeholders, often in complex or sensitive situations.

You’ll demonstrate resilience, professionalism and a commitment to delivering fair, consistent and high-quality services in line with L&Q’s values.

Essential requirements:

  • Previous lettings experience within a housing environment
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

If you require any reasonable adjustments at any stage during this process, including the application stage, please email lqcareers@lqgroup.org.uk
