Level 2 Learning Coach (Teaching Assistant)
Employer: Cheshire Academies Trust
Location: Brookhurst Primary School, Bromborough.
Contract: Fixed Term 13 April 2026 - 31 August 2027 (Subject to funding)
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, Term Time only with 5 additional Inset Training Days Salary: £21,974.20 Hours to work 1.00pm - 5.15pm, (4hrs 15 mins per day). 21hrs 15 mins per week

We are looking for someone who is passionate about learning and teaching, who understands the importance of educating the whole child. At Brookhurst, we aim to achieve high standards within a broad, balanced and enriched curriculum.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their capacity to deliver good and better outcomes for all the children in their care, demonstrating understanding of how adjustments will be needed for those pupils with additional barriers to their learning. They must have the skills to work as part of a team and be willing to make a contribution to the extended community of the school. Ideally, we are looking for an experienced SEN Learning Coach who has experience of working within a Pre-School provison, with a knowledge of PADS and Makaton. This would be desirable but not essential, as training will be given.

Brookhurst Primary School is in the process of converting to an academy as part of Cheshire Academies Trust. This is currently planned for 1st April 2026. On this date the employer of all staff at Brookhurst Primary School will change from Wirral Borough Council to Cheshire Academies Trust. This will apply to the successful candidate in this role.
