Level 3 Teaching Assistant (with SEND Support)
30.5 hours per week | Permanent (subject to 6-month probation)
Salary: NJC Local Government Pay Band E (Scale Points 7–11)


Working Hours:
8:45am – 3:15pm daily (including break and lunchtime support), with an 8:15am start
each Monday for staff briefing.

Freshfield Primary School is looking to appoint a dedicated, experienced, and
compassionate Level 3 Teaching Assistant to provide high-quality 1:1 support for
children with Special Educational Needs within our inclusive, nurturing school
community.


This is a highly rewarding role for a committed professional who is passionate about
making a real and lasting difference to children’s learning, development, and wellbeing.


The successful candidate will:
- Hold a recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
- Have proven experience providing 1:1 support to pupils with SEN.
- Be confident in planning and delivering interventions independently, including
managing personalised 1:1 programmes.
- Have experience providing specialist support, monitoring progress, and adapting
programmes to meet individual needs.
- Be willing to undertake additional training to further develop skills and meet the
needs of specific children.
- Demonstrate flexibility, initiative, and a genuine commitment to inclusive
practice.
- Hold high expectations for themselves and the children they support.
- Be passionate, conscientious, and hardworking.
- Uphold and actively promote the school’s ethos, values, and aims.
