
Licensing Process Officer
Are you a detailed, focused, enthusiastic team player who enjoys a varied customer facing environment?
We are looking for someone like you to join our team! If we are a good fit for you, you will have the opportunity to deal with various regulatory regimes. Including alcohol, entertainment, gambling, taxis, markets, street trading, charity collections and more. You will be a key part in achieving compliance and ensuring public safety by advising customers and processing applications for various permissions and licences.
What will you be doing?
- Process applications in accordance with procedures and the law.
- Provide up-to-date and accurate information to applicants and objectors for any licence application; organisers of unregulated events; key stakeholders and partner agencies.
- Record and maintain comprehensive records.
- Generate licence renewal applications, record applications received and issue licences.
About you
As an ideal candidate, you will have:
- Knowledge of licensing, community safety or emergency planning (desirable but not essential).
- A methodical and accurate approach to work.
- The ability to plan, prioritise and manage your own work load.
- The ability to communicate at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
- Contributed to the efficient functioning of a team through completion of your own tasks.

Salary range
- £30,766 - £34,072 per year
