APPOINTMENT LOCAL GOVERNORS
The Collegiate Trust is a family of five primary and four secondary schools in Croydon and Crawley with a clear purpose: to improve the life chances of young people by delivering an exceptional education for all in a nurturing learning environment which leads them to excellent academic outcomes and happy and successful futures. We educate c.7000 pupils, employ over 1000 staff and have a total annual income of over £50m. Our success comes as a consequence of strong leadership and governance, both centrally at Trust Board and Executive Team level, and within our schools through Local Governing Committees and a talented team of Principals and senior leaders.
Local Governors
We are seeking to appoint Local Governors to serve on the Local Governing Committees at Kenley Primary School. Local Governors support and challenge school leaders, helping to ensure strong educational standards, effective use of resources and the wellbeing and safety of pupils. Meetings are usually held in the evenings, although occasional school visits during the school day and training (often undertaken flexibly) would also be expected.
All members of our governance community take part in our annual Governance Community Conference, usually held on a Saturday in January.
Enquiries and applications to become a Local Governor at Kenley Primary School should be directed to the Governance & Compliance Manager at sara.scott@tct-academies.org.
