Initially on a temporary contract to April 2026

Monday – Friday 11.30 am to 12.45 pm (part-time 6 hours 15 minutes per week)

Term-time 39 weeks per year

We are looking to appoint a Lunchtime Supervisor at Roman Road Primary School.

Roman Road is currently a two-form entry primary school. We have a strong school community with supportive parents and governors, fantastically behaved and motivated children, and a caring, committed and professional staff.

We have a well-resourced school with excellent resources both indoor and outdoor; we like to think of it as our piece of the countryside in the middle of the city.

Roman Road is a high achieving, friendly school that is proud of the support it offers teachers ‘new’ to Roman Road to be successful.

We require someone with the following qualities:

• Experience of dealing with children either in a domestic or work environment.
• Knowledge of an ability to supervise children.
• Ability to understand children’s behaviour and to respond to their needs in varying circumstances
• Understanding of basic issues of hygiene and child safety
• Ability to act quickly and responsibly in the event of accidents or untoward circumstances.
• Ability to communicate well with children
• Ability to undertake all duties on line with the Council’s Equal Opportunities policy.
