MARKET CASHIER (7.5 HOURS PER WEEK)

Hourly Rate: £13.26

Location: Fleetwood Market

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and customer‑focused Market Cashier to join our team at Fleetwood Market. You will provide an efficient and accurate cashiering service and support the smooth and safe operation of the market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect daily rent and payments from traders and issue receipts
  • Handle cash securely and maintain accurate records
  • Reconcile and prepare cash for banking
  • Assist with opening and closing the market building
  • Carry out routine checks to ensure CCTV systems are operational and licensing requirements remain valid
  • Monitor trader compliance with market rules, license conditions and user cla uses
  • Undertake visual checks to ensure stalls are kept clean, safe and tidy
  • Verify that traders hold current Public Liability Insurance and maintain records of compliance
  • Monitor the use of the waste compactor and report misuse, faults or Health and Safety concerns

Skills and Experience

  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills
