About the Role

We are seeking a marketing and communications officer to support our work to inform the public and stakeholders of the work of the Metro Mayor and Combined Authority (CA), executive team and Cabinet Members and the Combined Authority.

You will play a key role in delivering the marketing and communications programme by coordinating a range of activities essential to the effective running of the operation.

You will provide specialist support across a range of activities including events, data curation and management, project and team coordination, supporting key governance and assurance systems, reporting and monitoring, specialist procurement and budget management, and stakeholder management.


About the person

We are looking for a person with a degree or equivalent in marketing, communications or business and with relevant experience of marketing, events, project management and business performance management.

You will be adaptable, flexible and are able to prioritise multiple tasks, we expect the post holder to be able to manage complex tasks and have high attention to detail.

We are looking for strong personal organisation skills and the ability to manage stakeholders, high profile events, budgets and support for senior officers in the CA.

You will have data and analytical skills, the ability to manage sensitive information and to interact with senior stakeholders internally and externally.
