Join us at the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) as a Marketing Manager on a 12-month FTC. The Marketing Manager leads partnerships marketing, ensuring the UK Partnerships Team is well supported to deliver business priorities in their work in each England region and in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. This includes developing, coordinating and delivering marketing plans and messaging, as well as the development of final assets such as digital, events, campaign toolkits, and ensuring consistency in all touchpoints.
The role will work closely with the Senior Campaigns Marketing Manager to plan, manage and measure MoneyHelper marketing campaigns utilising paid media. Maximising reach and engagement with target audiences through the co-ordination of low- and no- cost channels to ensure integrated campaigns.
You will also work closely with the Senior Campaigns Marketing Manager to help build, grow and manage our consumer facing brand, MoneyHelper and our corporate brand MaPS, across campaigns, communications and channels, to build and drive awareness with consumers (B2C), partners (B2B2C) and stakeholders (B2B).
Job description
- Work as one team with partnership managers across the UK, including attending team meetings. You will be integral to scoping and developing an overall marketing activity plan to support their work, ensuring all their communication and engagement requirements are captured and assets for collateral, digital, video, events, and campaign toolkits are delivered
- You will be the conduit for ensuring key corporate messages, business objectives and opportunities such syndication of MoneyHelper tools, are shared in a timely way with the partnership managers, and support partnership managers to report back on their activities and impact.
- Act as brand guardian, and support the design team with requests, project managing and monitoring all work produced to ensure creative excellence and adherence to brand guidelines are maintained, conduct regular reviews and promote best practice across the business.
- Play a full role in the brand and marketing team, being flexible to support across the team as needed, and undertaking any other duties as reasonably required. To succeed in this position, you must demonstrate strong B2B marketing expertise, including in paid campaigns, as well as a strong understanding of brand. Experience working as a Marketing Campaigns Manager or Brand Manager in a similar position is an advantage.
- Manage campaigns, optimising activity in real time to hit campaign objectives. Working with media, creative and in-house teams to measure performance and improve impact.
- Collaborating with all our channel owners you will help develop, coordinate and execute marketing plans, for all required campaigns using paid, no and low-cost channels, to deliver communication excellence and high audience engagement. This will include co-ordinating digital marketing across Social – X and Facebook, website, SEO optimisation, chat and WhatsApp, content and tools syndication
Person specification
Essential:
- Marketing qualification (e.g. degree, diploma, professional qualification) and/or equivalent work experience and able to demonstrate learning and progression on the job.
- Experience in a marketing, brand, or campaign management role in a complex organisation
- Demonstrable experience in developing and executing successful marketing plans to engage audiences effectively. Experience managing B2B or ‘B2B2C’ marketing an advantage, including paid campaign experience. B2C experience also desirable
- Experience of digital campaign management set up, optimisation and analysis is essential
- Demonstrable experience in delivering high-impact campaigns and/or marketing and/or brand activity utilising paid, no and low-cost channels and working with multiple channel owners.
- Strong knowledge and experience in market research and insight, KPI evaluation techniques and the ability to use data to identify opportunities and improve performance.
- Experience in writing business cases and procuring agencies and marketing/communications services.
- A strong interest in working at MaPS and a wider interest in and/or knowledge of financial wellbeing.
Desirable:
- Comfortable using traditional and digital marketing approaches.
- Marketing experience within the public sector and an understanding of government spend controls and processes.

Flexible Working
At MaPS, we take pride in our flexible approach to work. As standard, we work on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 2 days in the office per month. Hybrid working is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and our headquarters in Bedford will be your contractual place of work. The number of days that anyone will be able to work at home will be determined primarily by business needs, but personal and other relevant circumstances will also be considered.
