About the Team

The Avon Pension Fund administers the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) for over 140,000 members across more than 464 employers in the local area. Employers include local unitary councils, universities, academies, town and parish councils, housing associations and charities. About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our Member Contact Team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, thrives in a busy environment, and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Responding to member queries via the website, telephone, letters and email.
  • Liaising with the Member Services Team to resolve complex enquiries.
  • Using initiative to ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Working collaboratively as part of a team to achieve service goals.
  • Maintaining and updating member records accurately.
  • Archiving documentation as required.

Training will be provided at all stages, along with an introduction to the work carried out by other areas within the Pensions department.

About You

We are looking for a proactive and adaptable individual who can confidently support a busy and growing team.

You will have:

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • A high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload.
  • The ability to learn new processes and systems quickly.
  • A positive and flexible approach to teamwork.
  • Confidence in dealing with member enquiries in a professional and timely manner.

Salary range

  • £35,570 - £38,510 per year
