Midday Assistant (Grade 2)

Hours: 2 hours per day (flexible)
Working Time: Between 11:20am and 1:20pm
Contract: Term time only
Salary: Grade 2, approximately £12.69 per hour, 2 hours = £5,563 annual salary

The Quinta Primary School is seeking a friendly, reliable, and caring Midday Assistant to join our supportive school team.

This role is for 2 hours per day, with flexibility. Exact working hours can be agreed within the lunchtime period of 11:20am–1:20pm.

Key responsibilities:

• Supervising pupils during the lunchtime period
• General hall and playground duties
• Supporting children during lunch and playtimes
• Engaging positively with pupils and encouraging good behaviour
• Ensuring the safety, welfare, and safeguarding of all children at all times

The ideal candidate will:

• Enjoy working with children
• Be calm, patient, and approachable
• Be able to engage positively with pupils
• Understand the importance of safeguarding and child welfare
• Work well as part of a team

Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.

This post is subject to enhanced DBS clearance and satisfactory references in line with safeguarding requirements.
