
Multi Trade Operative
We’re looking for a skilled and reliable Multi Trade Operative to join our team, delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance across a variety of housing stock. In this role, you’ll carry out a range of tasks including decorating, plastering, and damp and mould treatments. You’ll be part of a responsive maintenance service, working to a ‘Right First Time’ approach that ensures residents receive an efficient and professional experience. You’ll manage multiple jobs each day, maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer care, while working collaboratively with colleagues to meet service level agreements.
What you’ll do
As a Multi Trade Operative, you’ll be responsible for completing a variety of repair and maintenance tasks to a high standard. You’ll update your PDA device with job details, liaise with residents and colleagues, and ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with agreed specifications. You’ll manage your van stock, communicate any job variations, and maintain a professional approach at all times. You’ll also contribute to performance reviews, support health and safety compliance, and help us deliver excellent service to our residents.
What you’ll need
- A relevant qualification such as a recognised apprenticeship, NVQ Level 1 or City & Guilds Certificate Or Proven experience as a multi trade operative, ideally within a social housing maintenance environment.
- Strong understanding of health and safety requirements relevant to the role.
- Full UK driving licence and own trade-specific hand tools (power tools provided).
- Good communication and time management skills, with attention to detail and pride in your work.
