Music Teacher (SEND Specialist)

Are you a passionate and creative music teacher who believes every child deserves the opportunity to experience the power of music?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable teacher to join our specialist setting, supporting pupils with a wide range of complex additional needs. This is a unique opportunity to deliver meaningful, engaging and highly personalised music education that celebrates every student’s voice, creativity and achievement.

You will play a key role in developing inclusive music opportunities, performances and curriculum experiences that support communication, confidence, emotional regulation and personal growth.

Salary

Main Scale / Upper Scale + SEN1
SEN2 payable upon completion of MEd in SEND
Inner London Teacher Pay Scale

Working Pattern

1–3 days per week
Specific working days to be agreed and renegotiated at the end of each academic year.

About the Role

The successful candidate will:

• Deliver high-quality, engaging music lessons tailored to pupils with a range of SEND needs
• Create meaningful musical experiences and performance opportunities for all learners
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, support staff and families
• Use music to support communication, emotional regulation and wider learning outcomes
• Lead and inspire support staff within lessons
• Manage music resources effectively and creatively
• Promote inclusion, achievement and participation for every pupil

This role would suit someone who is highly flexible, emotionally resilient and genuinely passionate about inclusive education.
