Job summary
His Majesty’s Naval Base Clyde (HMNB Clyde) is home to the United Kingdom’s Strategic Nuclear Deterrent, Astute Class Attack Submarines, First Mine Counter Measure Squadron and 43 Cdo Royal Marines. It is an operational support and maintenance base, within the Navy Command TLB and comprises both Faslane and Coulport sites. HMNB Clyde’s primary purpose is to provide engineering and logistical support to the Royal Navy in maintaining Continuous at Sea Deterrent (CASD). This is achieved by ensuring at least one Vanguard Class submarine is on patrol at sea every day of the year.
RNAD Coulport is responsible for the storage, processing, maintenance and issue of the Trident Weapon System and the ammunitioning of all submarine-embarked tactical weapons.

Job description
This post is part of the team responsible for the coordination and integration of multiple large-scale change and transformation initiatives into a structured portfolio/programme aligned with organisation activities at HMNB Clyde. This role will work with Assistant Head Business Change to strategically align initiatives and embed them within the organisation. The post holder will support business change across NBC Clyde’s organisation and is a critical part of driving cross-functional collaboration across organisations. A key element is supporting the people side of change, supporting adoption, building readiness, and enabling cultural behavioural shifts required to build lasting success.Person specification
This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic leader with experience in programme governance, risk management, and business change.
The ideal candidate will have:
• A proven track record in programme management and business change, preferably in a complex operational environment.
• Strong experience in stakeholder engagement and collaboration, working across internal teams and with external programme leads.
• Expertise in risk alignment, governance, and reporting, ensuring structured oversight of large-scale change programmes.
• The ability to drive organisational change, ensuring people, processes, and systems are prepared for transformation.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage at all levels.
• Experience of developing and managing programmes with formal qualifications (e.g., MSP, PRINCE2, PROSCI, ADKAR) being desirable.
