Persona: Agile Worker: 20% - 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office/working location (hybrid working)

We have an exciting opportunity! L&Q is seeking an Application Support Analyst with hands-on experience in NEC Housing implementations and support. This is a pivotal time as our Business Applications team is delivering a new Target Operating Model alongside the transformation and re-platforming of our legacy applications. We continuously invest, grow, and innovate to provide an outstanding service to our residents.

As an Application Support Analyst, you will take ownership of the NEC Housing software portfolio, ensuring the system is performant, fully supported, and always meets business needs. You will report to the Lead Applications Support Analyst and collaborate closely with our IT Service Desk, in-house squads, Product Owners, and suppliers.

Your impact in the role:

  • Provide second-line support for NEC Housing applications, escalating to suppliers or in-house squads for third-line support where necessary.
  • Participate in out-of-hours support as part of a standby rota.
  • Work closely with suppliers to manage and resolve third-line incidents and ensure delivery against SLA.
  • Monitor release and upgrade schedules, ensuring NEC Housing software is maintained on supported versions and platforms, and coordinate with teams to prevent conflicts.
  • Maintain a register of contracts, renewals, and procurements, ensuring timely action.
  • Act as the SME for NEC Housing software, advising both technical and business colleagues.
  • Build strong working relationships with Business Stakeholders and Suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Take ownership of priority incidents, ensuring they are resolved efficiently.
  • Contribute to internal and external service reviews and maintain the application roadmap.
  • Apply proactive problem-solving skills, identifying potential issues before they arise and documenting solutions effectively.
  • Demonstrate strong documentation skills, capturing processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guidance for future reference.
  • Understand housing services workflows and translate business requirements into system configurations within NEC Housing software.

What you'll bring:

  • Proven experience in implementing or supporting NEC Housing software within Housing Associations or Local Authorities.
  • Strong technical understanding of NEC Housing applications, their modules, integrations, and business processes.
  • Experience in Applications Management & Support, ideally in a medium-to-large IT organisation.
  • Knowledge of ITIL principles; formal qualifications at Foundation level are desirable.
  • Excellent customer-focused skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical colleagues.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft operating environment and supporting systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to consult, advise, and guide stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated proactive problem-solving and documentation skills.
  • Clear understanding of housing services workflows and ability to translate business requirements into system configurations.
