We are looking for a community‑focused Neighbourhood Housing Officer to join our Neighbourhood Housing team. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You will manage your own patch, support tenants and residents, tackle anti‑social behaviour, and ensure our neighbourhoods are safe, well‑maintained, and thriving.

You will be responsible for delivering a high‑quality, consistent housing management service balancing income management, tenancy enforcement, community engagement, and safeguarding responsibilities.

Duties to include:

Carrying out regular estate inspections, report defects, and ensure council properties and grounds are maintained to a high standard.

Investigating and address issues such as fly tipping, abandoned properties, boundary disputes, and tenancy breaches.

Investigate reports of anti‑social behaviour and work closely with Police, CSU partners, and other agencies.
Preparing and presenting cases for court where required.
Managing rent accounts effectively, ensuring early intervention and compliance with the Pre‑Action Protocol.
Working with the lettings and voids teams to minimise void times and ensure properties are let efficiently.
Completing all tenancy sign‑up documentation and ensure compliance with statutory safety checks.
Attending multi‑agency meetings including MARAC, child protection, and adult safeguarding.

We are looking for someone who is confident, adaptable, and committed to delivering excellent housing services. You will need to be comfortable working independently, managing a busy and varied workload, and making sound decisions in challenging situations. It is essential that you have have experience working within a housing management or similar environment and a strong understanding of housing services and relevant legislation.
