Job Title: Mental Health Recovery Worker
Location: Based in Enfield (Nearest overground Enfield Town, Bus Routes available) Unfortunately there is no step free access at this service.
Salary: £27,000
Shift Pattern: Average 37.5 per week ranging from 32 - 43 depending on the rota. Covering nights Monday to Sunday between 20:30 - 8:00. Flexibility may be required as per service requirements and some shifts may fall on a bank holiday which will fall under usual work patterns.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Night Recovery Worker to join our 24/7 supported accommodation service based in Enfield. You will work in a vibrant care and rehabilitation service, offering 21 beds to adults with complex mental health needs. You will join a team which consists of a Service Manager, Deputy Service Manager, a day team of 10, and a night team of 4. You will be a present member of the team on the night shift, with a minimum of 2 people working per shift. We are here to promote independence and give our residents the tools needed to fulfil their lives in the community independently.
In this role, you will play a key role in supporting our residents on their journey to recovery, reablement, and rehabilitation, you’ll support individuals transitioning from complex care or acute mental health services to a structured rehabilitation setting. Working closely with various teams, you’ll help provide tailored, person-centred and trauma informed support for residents to overcome personal challenges, and meet their desired goals/outcomes and support medication compliance, making a real difference every day.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Provide tailored support to residents/participants to help them achieve their personal goals and outcomes.
- Deliver all required aspects of the service efficiently and consistently. This includes welfare checks, support sessions, safeguarding monitoring, risk assessments, and involvement in training and development.
- Help design, create, and be part of service led activities which could include games nights, movie nights, cooking, and other activities to bring residents together and promote independence and relationship building.
- Provide support with encouraging residents to take their required medication as required.
- Ensure service responsibilities and requirements are carried out effectively.
- Initiate appropriate interventions to prevent crisis or other risks.
- Recognise signs of deteriorating mental health, physical health, or other health implications and escalate as required as per our procedures.
About You
We’re looking for a resilient and compassionate individual to join our team as a Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker, supporting residents to reach their full potential within a flexible, recovery focused service. You’ll provide high quality care, working collaboratively as part of a supportive team that values communication, empathy, and empowerment. You will be able to be proactive and continue supporting our residents even during quieter hours, supporting with ensuring the service runs smoothly and you are actively engaged with the wider team and residents, supporting to achieve the service KPI's.
- Ability to stay motivated even during quieter hours, to build rapport and trust with our residents and fulfil the requirements of the service
- Understanding of the needs of those who have various complex needs including mental health
- Ability to use IT systems to record case notes, email relevant people, and use other software required within the role
- Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the communal service and residents
- Understanding of the housing and social needs of people with multiple and complex needs
