    About the role

Turn Furlong (Kingsthorpe, Northampton) provides an integrated health and social care service for individuals requiring short-term support following discharge from hospital.

Our Recovering Independence Bed unit is delivered by a multidisciplinary team from both health and social care, working together to provide high-quality, person-centred care. The team supports individuals through clinical care, rehabilitation, and reablement, helping them regain independence in a safe and supportive environment.

    Additional information

We are looking for an individual who are compassionate, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You will have a sound understanding of good care principles, alongside a strong focus on customer service and the ability to build positive relationships with the people you support and their families.

Confident in maintaining clear and accurate records, with a good level of IT literacy, and have an awareness of data protection, confidentiality, and health, safety, and hygiene standards.

You will also be comfortable supporting individuals with mobility, including assisting with moving and handling where required.

We are seeking an individual who respect and value diversity, understanding that people’s backgrounds and experiences shape how care and support should be delivered. That will be organised, able to cope under pressure, and willing to undertake all training relevant to the role.

Previous experience in an adult health or social care setting is desirable. You must be willing and able to complete an NVQ Level 2 in Care within two years, with a Level 2 NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification considered an advantage.

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore subject to an enhanced DBS certificate. It is also a regulated activity and will be subject to a Children and Adults Barred List check. West Northamptonshire Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Apply now, as we may close this vacancy early, if we receive sufficient applications for this role before the expiry date.
