Nursery Teacher

Darley Dale Primary School is seeking to appoint an exceptional Nursery Teacher from September 2026 to lead a new school-based nursery for three and four-year-olds.

As a nursery lead teacher, you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of your nursery unit, providing a welcoming learning environment for all your pupils to succeed in their learning. We work closely in partnership with our children, parents and our local cluster of schools. We are seeking a ‘people person’ who likes interaction with others but who can equally work independently and manage a demanding work schedule. The successful candidate will be expected to get involved in the wider life of the school and to help us provide an exciting and varied curriculum offer.

The successful candidate will:

• be an outstanding, experienced EYFS teacher, planning and delivering engaging, child-centred learning in line with the EYFS framework
• foster a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and inspired to achieve their potential
• work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and families to ensure the best outcomes for children
• assess, track and celebrate children’s progress, ensuring learning is personalised and purposeful
