About the role

Would you like to be part of a dynamic and fast-paced team making a meaningful difference in the lives of older people in Crawley?

As a valued member of our Sheltered Housing team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality housing support services that empower our residents to live as independently as possible.

This is a part-time job share role, offering you the opportunity to work collaboratively with a colleague (your job sharer) to deliver a consistent, high-quality sheltered housing service. The specific working hours we are looking to fill are detailed in the additional information section below.

Your responsibilities will include conducting welfare checks, monitoring care packages, responding to emergency calls, and fostering a sense of community across ten sheltered schemes in and around Crawley.

You will also visit customers who use our Lifeline service to carry out service checks and provide floating support to older individuals living outside the schemes to help them sustain their tenancies.

The successful candidate will:

  • be self-motivated, able to work independently and take a positive approach to resolving problems
  • possess good organisation and IT skills
  • have excellent knowledge and understanding of the support needs of older people

Are you committed, compassionate, and ready to contribute to a supportive and dynamic team? Do you take pride in delivering excellent customer service and thrive in a fast-paced, front-line role supporting older people? If so, we would love to hear from you?

Crawley is a great place to work, with a thriving business district and excellent transport connections including nearby Gatwick Airport. We are based in our modern Town Hall which opened in 2023 and is located a short walk from the town centre and railway station.
