There is an exciting opportunity to join Holly Spring Primary School. Our three form entry school, with its extensive grounds, a forest learning environment and large spacious classrooms, is looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to work along side our Forest School Leader. Your role will be to provide support and guidance to children, under the supervision of the Forest Teacher, in the outside environment. Please read the job description to ensure you have the qualities required for this unique role.

Experience in this setting is essential and you must possess the resilience and stamina required to cope with the demands of the post. You must:

  • be able to accommodate the changing needs of the Forest School and Children.
  • be able to manage own work/development when necessary.
  • be able to work until 5pm one day a week for the after school forest club
  • have high standards of personal presentation and courtesy. Hold positive values and attributes and communicate these through own high standards of behaviour.
  • be hardworking, able to motivate and encourage children at all levels and feel confident working as part of a team.
  • put children at the heart of everything they do
  • be calm, patient and resourceful
  • be an enthusiastic, inspirational and innovative
  • have high expectations of children
  • demonstrates that they have good standard of education
  • share and support the ethos of the school
