About the Role
Oaklands Primary Academy is seeking to appoint two dedicated and enthusiastic Para Professionals (Teaching Assistants) to join our committed andsupportive team.
This is an exciting opportunity for passionate individuals to support pupils’ learning and development, working closely with teaching staff to ensure all children make strong progress. The successful candidates will play a key role in delivering targeted support, helping to remove barriers to learning and enabling every pupil to achieve their full potential.
Oaklands Primary Academy is a vibrant school for children aged 2 to 11, set within a beautiful rural environment in Biggin Hill. We are proud to offer a nurturing, inclusive setting with high expectations for both pupils and staff, where everyone is supported to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide targeted support for pupils, including those with special educational needs
• Support teaching and learning within the classroom and through small group interventions
• Assist in planning and delivering activities that support pupil progress
• Help pupils develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours
• Monitor and record pupil progress, supporting teachers in assessing outcomes
• Contribute to creating a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment
• Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff and external professionals
• Contribute to the wider life and ethos of the school
Key Requirements
• Experience working with children in a primary or educational setting
• A strong commitment to supporting children’s learning and development
• Understanding of inclusive practice and supporting pupils with additional needs
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
• Patient, calm and adaptable approach to supporting learners
• Good communication, organisation and teamwork skills
• A proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

Salary & Hours:
• 32.5 hours per week: £18,692 to £21,427 actual salary (£24,206 to 27,748 FTE)
• 3 days: £14,524 to £16,649 actual salary (£24,206 to 27,748 FTE FTE)
Working Pattern: Term time including INSET days (39 weeks per year) Contract: Fixed Term Start Date: 1st September 2026 Interview Date: To be confirmed Closing Date: 16 July 2026
