
Parking Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative, commercially aware, and experienced Parking Manager to join Tunbridge Wells Borough Council — a forward-thinking authority with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality services across the Borough.
We’re looking for someone with proven expertise across all areas of parking — including enforcement, car parks, and engineering — to lead a dynamic team and drive impactful change.
About the Role
You’ll be at the heart of a busy, ambitious Borough, managing a wide range of parking-related projects and services. From establishing new car parks and installing EV charging points, to overseeing enforcement and traffic management, your work will directly support the wellbeing of our residents, businesses, and visitors.
You’ll manage the parking operation which is a service of over 30 employees and oversee over £8 million in income, requiring strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and a passion for operational excellence.
What We’re Looking For
- A degree-qualified professional with at least 5 years’ experience leading a parking enforcement service.
- A strong track record in car park operations, refurbishment projects, and engineering solutions.
- Excellent knowledge of current legislation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to present complex information and produce actionable insights.
- A collaborative leader who thrives on developing people and delivering results.
