Brent is a tremendously vibrant London borough where the iconic arch of Wembley Stadium dominates the skyline. Spanning both inner and outer London, it is a borough of huge contrasts in terms of its economic, environmental, ethnic and social make up. Brent’s diversity is evident to all who visit our borough and our long history of ethnic and cultural diversity has created a place that is truly unique and valued by those who live and work here. The council is pursuing a far-reaching transformation agenda that better meets the needs of our community so it is an exciting time to join us. The Post We are seeking a full time individual to be the front face of the Parks and Allotments Service. The post requires excellent customer service skills as the job is customer facing. The post requires you to be able to respond to daily queries about both services via phone and e-mail, liaise with sports clubs to arrange for bookings of our sports pitches, take minutes for various meetings, including the Borough Safety Advisory Group; who review events in the borough (not for the Stadium) and liaise with allotment holders and arrange for requests for payment. The service is incredible busy and no two days are the same. If you like variety in a customer facing role, with an opportunity to help improve the quality of our parks and allotments, this is the job for you. The Person You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will be resourceful and able to prioritise your workload to ensure urgent issues are resolved quickly and effectively, whilst still managing your daily workload. You will be able to take minutes of meetings, liaise easily with a range of stakeholders, both internal and external and be able to keep calm under pressure.
