Telford & Wrekin Council’s Passenger Transport Team is dedicated to delivering safe, reliable, sustainable, and innovative transport services that support our residents every day. We’re now looking for a motivated individual to join our team and play a key role in shaping these essential services.
Working closely with the Passenger Transport Team Leader, you’ll take on a varied and rewarding role at the heart of our operations. Your work will span across key service areas including home-to-school transport, demand responsive transport, and Dial-a-Ride services, helping ensure that some of our most vulnerable residents can travel safely and confidently.
This is a people-focused role where no two days are the same. You’ll be involved in administration, commissioning, and contract management, while working closely with colleagues, providers, and service users on a daily basis. A strong focus on safety and safeguarding is essential, ensuring that all services meet the highest standards at all times.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- An excellent communicator with strong written and verbal skills
- Highly organised with the ability to manage a varied workload
- Comfortable working independently as well as part of a supportive team
- Experienced in people management
- Knowledgeable and confident in safeguarding practices
- Can be flexible with their working patterns
