We are looking to appoint a Pastoral Support Officer who will play a key role in improving student attendance and engagement by working directly with pupils and families to identify barriers to attendance and implement effective support and challenge strategies.

The post holder will use attendance and pastoral data to target intervention, track impact, and demonstrate measurable improvement over time. They will work relationally and restoratively with families while maintaining high expectations and providing appropriate professional challenge.

This role sits at the heart of Axis Academy’s commitment to re-engagement, safeguarding, and improving life chances for young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs, and will further increase the capacity of our pastoral offer.
