Why Southwark?

Southwark Council is strengthening its approach to performance management to ensure that progress against priorities is monitored clearly and consistently. The Data, Performance and Insight team, within Strategy, Insight and Performance, leads the council’s corporate performance reporting and supports services to use performance data effectively. We are looking for a Performance Lead to support the management and delivery of the council’s performance framework.

What You'll Be Doing

In this role you will:

  • Support the development and maintenance of the council’s performance framework.
  • Work with services to develop and monitor performance measures.
  • Produce performance reports for senior leadership and governance boards.
  • Analyse performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Support services to use performance information to improve delivery.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience in performance management or reporting.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills.
  • Experience working with complex datasets.
  • The ability to communicate performance insights clearly.
  • Experience working across organisational teams.
