Are you an experienced Personal Assistant with exceptional organisational skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset? If so, we're looking for 2 dedicated professionals to provide high-level support to the assistant directors and deputise for the Director’s PA.

About the Role:

This is a high-responsibility role where discretion, efficiency, and confidentiality are paramount. You will be at the centre of managing the day-to-day schedules, communication, and administrative needs of senior management. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have the confidence to hit the ground running, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive diary and calendar management
  • Manage email inboxes with professionalism and attention to detail
  • Follow up on key actions and ensure progress is tracked
  • Maintain strict confidentiality at all times
  • Always act with the Local Authority’s best interests

About the Candidate:

This is more than just an administrative position – it’s a key role in enabling senior leadership to operate at their highest level. Therefore, there are certain essential requirements the successful candidates will have:

  • Proven experience in a senior Executive Assistant or Personal Assistant role
  • Experience of working in a political environment
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail and time management
  • A self-starter with a problem-solving mindset
  • Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive information with discretion
  • Strong organisational and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to shifting priorities

Both roles are full time (36 hours), with 1 being permanent and the other a fixed term contract (up to 9-months to cover Maternity Leave). Please indicate your preference within your application.
