Are you passionate about making a real difference? Can you help us create a healthier, happier, more active future for everyone? Active Kent & Medway is looking for a proactive, organised, and collaborative Project Officer to effectively support the coordination, administration, marketing and reporting of our Place Programme.

Active Kent & Medway is one of 42 Active Partnerships in England. We are hosted by Kent County Council and funded by Sport England to tackle inactivity, which is driven by inequalities. We believe in the power of getting ‘more people, more active, more often’ for physical and mental health, as well as individual, social, community and economic development.

We know that where you live plays a huge part in how active you are. Nationally, Sport England has committed £25 million of a investment to a Place Universal Offer across England to help places supercharge their efforts to tackle inequality and inactivity and evaluate the impact they're having in their most important communities.

As Place Project Officer, you will work alongside colleagues, partners and local communities to support the coordination and delivery of this important programme across Kent and Medway.

You will play a key role in supporting activity in our priority places, particularly Ashford, Dartford, Folkestone & Hythe and Maidstone, while also contributing to work in other areas of the county.

The role sits within our Children and Young People Team and works closely with colleagues across Active Kent & Medway, including Place Programme Managers and Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Leads.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.

This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
