
Planning and Building Technician
Lancaster City Council is pleased to offer a great opportunity for an enthusiastic, confident, and self-motivated individual to join our Development Management Team as a Planning and Building Technician.
The successful candidate will be a good communicator, capable of working to deadlines and able to respond effectively to fluctuations in workload. They will also assist with the initial processing of Planning and Building Regulations applications, operating the Council’s Electronic Document Management and back-office computer systems, and advising members of the public on Planning and Building Control matters and other general administrative duties as required.
Whilst previous experience is not necessary, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate good organisational skills, a willingness to learn about all aspects of the planning system, and excellent customer service.
This post is permanent, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based at Lancaster Town Hall.

Salary range
- £26,403 - £31,022 per year
