Pre School Assistant Vacancy

Start Date: 1 September 2026

Working Pattern: 27 hours 30mins per week

Monday to Friday

38 weeks per year

Working hours: 9.00am - 3.00pm (with a 30mins unpaid break)

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract until 31.08.2027

Salary: NJC Salary Scale 1 point 2 (Full-time equivalent yearly salary £28,221)

Actual Yearly Salary: £18,371.76

Green Street Green Primary School has secured a government grant to open a brand-new, purpose-built Preschool which opened in September 2025.

We are looking to appoint a Preschool Assistant, who will be joining the existing Preschool team and support to provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment where all children can develop to their full potential.

The successful candidate will be able to show initiative, assist in providing tailored interventions and help to deliver positive learning experiences for all children under the guidance of the Key Workers and Pre School Manager. They will be great at working successfully as part of a team and will be able to promote positive relationships with pupils, parents and carers as well as colleagues.
