About the role

Hosted by Crawley Borough Council, the Pride in Place Programme Manager will work closely with the Bewbush Neighbourhood Board, project leads, partners and stakeholders to coordinate and deliver a complex programme of projects that reflect local priorities and voices.

You will:

  • oversee the development, delivery and implementation of the Pride in Place Programme
  • provide programme level leadership, governance, monitoring, reporting and risk management
  • act as the lead officer and secretariat for the Bewbush Neighbourhood Board
  • support project leads to develop clear, deliverable plans aligned to agreed budgets and timescales
  • manage programme finances and ensure compliance with government and council requirements
  • build and maintain strong relationships with partners, stakeholders and senior leaders
  • lead on monitoring, evaluation and performance reporting to UK Government

You will be a strong programme or project manager with significant experience of delivering regeneration or economic development programmes, ideally within a local government or public sector context.

You will bring:

  • proven experience of managing complex, multi-strand programmes and budgets
  • strong partnership working and stakeholder engagement skills
  • excellent communication skills, including report writing and presentations
  • experience of working in political environments and advising senior decision makers
  • a structured, proactive approach to managing risk, governance and performance
  • a commitment to equality, inclusion, safeguarding and public service values

A degree level qualification (or equivalent experience) is essential, and experience of administering government funded programmes is desirable.

Crawley is a great place to work, with a thriving business district and excellent transport connections including nearby Gatwick Airport. We are based in our modern Town Hall which opened in 2023 and is located a short walk from the town centre and railway station.

Additional information

Two year fixed term contract.

Occasional evening and weekend working forms part of the role.

A full and current UK driving licence will be a requirement of the role.
