We are seeking a pragmatic and motivated Procurement Lead to join our expanding Commercial Housing Contracts team. In this pivotal role, you will lead the procurement activity across a range of strategic housing contracts, ensuring robust commercial management and delivering value for money for the Council, our residents, and our tenants.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious procurement professional to make a meaningful impact. You will be responsible for managing end‑to‑end procurement processes, supporting the mobilisation of new contracts, and ensuring that procurement activity aligns with Council policies, legislative requirements, and best practice. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, technical specialists, and external partners to deliver efficient, compliant, and commercially advantageous outcomes.

We are seeking a candidate with proven experience in procurement, preferably within the housing, property, or public sector environment. You must have a solid understanding of procurement legislation and commercial principles, alongside strong organisational and project management skills. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities are essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and stakeholder groups.

This role offers the chance to join a forward‑thinking team at a time of growth and transformation, contributing directly to the quality, efficiency, and long‑term success of our housing services.

If you are an experienced procurement professional looking to take the next step and shape the future of our commercial housing contracts, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Applicants must have a driving licence that is valid in the UK.

A basic check will be undertaken with the Disclosure and Barring Service to ensure that the successful candidate has no relevant convictions.

The deadline for applications will be midnight on the closing date shown in the advert details.
