Job summary

The SFO’s Case Management System is the primary source for case-related information and process execution by the SFO. The solution is based on software provided as a service by Clue Computing Company Ltd, based in Bristol, England. Although Clue Computing Company Ltd provide the Software as a Service (SaaS) there remains a requirement on the SFO to manage and administer the SFO’s version and configuration of the technology. The role of the Product Manager is to lead and manage the in-house technical support of the CMS, its continuous improvement and prioritisation of internal capacity.

The role requires working flexibly with the Service Team to maintain the quality and continuity of CMS service for the SFO. This will include, from time to time, an element of out of hours working when required. The holder must be able to attend the office a minimum of two days per week in order to work effectively with the Service Team, to attend and lead face to face meetings either at the SFO or Clue offices, to deliver training, etc.

The CMS Product Manager is part of the SFO’s CMS Service Team.

The CMS Product Manager role covers the following main areas:

  1. Leading on the design and delivery of changes to the CMS.
  2. Co-ordinating the operational interactions with the supplier, the SFO’s support desk and IT function.
  3. Working with SFO DSU to ensure compliance and security measures are followed.
  4. Ensuring the CMS remains functional and that its processes, functions and features meet the needs of case teams.
  5. Working as part of the support and maintenance processes, both alongside the SFO support desk and the supplier.
  6. Delivering any changes to the CMS that improve or enhance the solution and is signed off by the Service Owner.
  7. Working with Case Controllers to keep the business working efficiently with CMS, to streamline and standardise case operations and realise the benefits for the SFO.

Job description

As the Product Manager (CMS) you will be responsible for:

  • Review and authorise Joiners, Movers and Leavers of the CMS, changes to the configuration, templates and reporting.
  • Maintain the CMS documetation including configuration document set.
  • Manage the CMS configuration, including the backlog.
  • Manage the CMS across all environments (configuration, test, training and production).
  • Co-ordinate the development and maintenance of the SFO’s information management lifecycle using the CMS.
  • Review and propose data quality measures to improve overall data standards and accuracy.

As part of the application process you will be required to provide:

  • A personal statement of no more than 500 words that explains how your skills and experience meet the following essential experience criteria: "Proficient in working with and implementing improvements to a case management system or similar."

Interviews are expected to take place in person at the SFO between 15th and 17th April. Due to the nature of the exercise involved, it will not be possible for interviews to be conducted remotely.
