Our Vacancy

At Peabody, we’re transforming how residents, colleagues, and partners experience our services. We’re creating simple, human, and impactful digital products that make it easier for people to get the help they need, provide brilliant service, and get the job done right first time.

As Product Owner, you’ll take ownership of one or more of our core digital services — shaping the vision, setting the roadmap, and working with cross-functional teams to deliver services that really make a difference.

What you’ll do
As Product Owner, you will:

  • Own the product vision and roadmap, making sure it aligns with Peabody’s strategy and delivers real value for residents and colleagues.
  • Lead Agile delivery -define and prioritise the backlog, translate needs into clear user stories, and ensure teams are working on the most important problems.
  • Put customers at the centre, using research, feedback, and data to guide decisions and measure success.
  • Work across boundaries -collaborate with engineering, design, operations, and business stakeholders to deliver simple, scalable, and secure digital services.
  • Use data to drive improvement, from setting KPIs to running experiments and iterating products based on evidence.
  • Champion product ways of working, helping teams adopt Agile best practice and role-modelling a customer-obsessed, outcome-driven approach.

What we’re looking for
We’re after a confident, customer-obsessed product leader who can move seamlessly between strategy and delivery, and who thrives on building consensus and delivering outcomes.

Essential experience

  • Proven track record as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Product lead.
  • Strong background in Agile delivery: backlog ownership, sprint planning, and roadmap management.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams (engineering, design, IT, operations).
Commercial awareness -able to link product decisions to business value, cost optimisation, and return on investment.
  • Data-driven mindset, with the ability to analyse insight, set KPIs, and make evidence-based decisions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder skills — able to influence and build trust at all levels.
  • Experience with common Agile and collaboration tools (JIRA, DevOps, Miro, Mural).
  • Ability to balance short-term delivery with longer-term strategy.

Desirable

  • Experience in housing, not-for-profit, or public sector.
  • Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design standards.
  • Familiarity with service design, discovery, or large-scale transformation.
  • Agile or Product certification (e.g. CSPO, SAFe PO/PM).

Why join us?
This is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our residents. It’s about creating digital services that are simple, inclusive, and built around what matters most. You’ll play a pivotal role in driving Peabody’s digital transformation and be part of a supportive, collaborative culture, with space to experiment, innovate, and grow.

This is a hybrid role, with a minimum of 2 days per week at the Westminster Bridge Road Office.
