Are you an organised and proactive administrator who enjoys coordinating activities, supporting teams and ensuring things run smoothly?

Redbridge Council is delivering an ambitious Modernisation Programme to help shape the future of the organisation. Working in partnership with services across the Council, the programme focuses on improving how services are designed and delivered, making better use of data, digital technology and innovation to improve outcomes for residents and ensure services remain sustainable for the future.

We are looking for an experienced Programme Administrator to provide high-quality administrative and coordination support to our Modernisation Team, helping ensure our programmes and projects are well organised and delivered effectively.

    About the Role

As Programme Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the Modernisation Programme. You will provide administrative support across a wide portfolio of projects and programmes, working closely with Programme Managers, Project Managers, Business Analysts and senior stakeholders.

You will help coordinate meetings, maintain programme documentation, monitor actions and support governance activities, ensuring information is accurate, organised and readily available. Your work will enable delivery teams to focus on driving improvement across the Council.

    Overview of the role:

    - Provide high-quality administrative support across the Modernisation Programme.

    - Coordinate meetings, workshops and governance boards, including arranging diaries, preparing agendas and taking accurate minutes.

    - Maintain programme documentation, action logs, decision logs and document repositories.

    - Support the preparation of reports, presentations and governance papers for senior leaders.

    - Monitor programme actions and follow up with stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met.

    - Assist with maintaining programme schedules, resource information and key records.

    - Provide administrative support for recruitment, onboarding and other programme activities as required.

    - Build effective working relationships with colleagues across the Council and provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders.

    - Contribute to the continuous improvement of administrative processes and ways of working within the Modernisation Team.

    About You

You will be a highly organised administrator with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

You will be confident working with a wide range of stakeholders, handling sensitive information appropriately and ensuring a consistently high standard of administrative support.

    You will also bring:

    - Experience providing administrative support within a programme, project or corporate environment.

    - Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills.

    - Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    - Experience organising meetings, maintaining records and preparing documentation.

    - Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.

    - The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.

    - A proactive, flexible and customer-focused approach with excellent attention to detail.

If you are looking for an opportunity to support a high-profile programme that will help shape the future of Redbridge Council, we would love to hear from you.
