Job summary

Join the UK Parliament as a Programme Support Assistant and play a vital role in delivering the inspiring Learn with the Lords Programme at the House of Commons. This dynamic role focuses on supporting the day-to-day coordination of educational activities that connect young people aged 7–18 with members of the House of Lords. You will manage bookings, liaise with teachers and parliamentarians, and help facilitate engaging online and in-person Q&A sessions that bring the work of Parliament to life.

Job description

Working at the heart of UK democracy, you’ll provide high-quality administrative support, coordinate programme logistics, and contribute to impactful youth engagement events reaching over 40,000 students annually. From setting up virtual sessions to supporting events in the Palace of Westminster, this is a unique opportunity to help demystify Parliament and inspire the next generation through meaningful, real-world learning experiences.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise
  • Experience of working with a range of IT systems
  • Ability to work successfully within a team
