The Project Management Assistant role offers a dynamic opportunity to support a nationally significant infrastructure project, helping shape solutions for a key public sector client. This role is an ideal entry point into project delivery, providing hands-on experience in managing timelines, tracking key metrics, and maintaining insight-rich reports. You’ll be at the heart of a fast-paced environment where your organisational skills and eye for detail will be valued, making this a rewarding chance to develop project management expertise and influence outcomes that matter.

You will play a pivotal role in supporting Project delivery and ensuring the smooth operation of project tools, systems and records. The position is ideal for someone with exceptional organisational skills who can work independently to successfully deliver on project deadlines. You will have the confidence to engage professionally and proactively with both clients and senior colleagues.

You’ll work across the team to support stakeholder engagement, day-to-day operations, and the coordination and organisation of project activities including site inspections and possession activities. • Assisting in preparation of presentations, ad hoc reports and communications.
  • Working with colleagues and stakeholders across the project to ensure delivery to the client’s requirements.
  • Logistical and secretariat support for meetings to enable effective management of the project and provide detailed records of key decisions.
  • Maintenance of caseworker files, ensuring full compliance with audit requirements.
  • Attendance at the LTC site office in Grays, Essex a minimum of once a month (but with flexibility for more frequent attendance when required) to ensure cross organisation collaboration with the client.

Person specification

We are seeking a highly organised and flexible individual with strong written and verbal communication skills, who can work confidently alongside senior colleagues and external stakeholders. You’ll have the interpersonal and organisational skills to coordinate team workload to deliver on project deadlines, staying organised and self-motivated while consistently delivering a high standard of service.

You will coordinate key elements of the project to support timely delivery, remaining organised and proactive while contributing to a high-quality service in a fast-paced environment. The role will also require a strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications and the ability to utilise them to effectively support efficient project delivery.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • The ability to horizon scan and escalate potential risks to senior colleagues
