About the Role

Are you an experienced Project Manager with a track record of delivering Decarbonisation / Retrofit / Regeneration / Energy / Building or Asset Management projects? Do you want to lead innovative projects that generate economic, social and wellbeing benefits and contribute to climate action and net zero targets?

We are recruiting for a Project Manager to coordinate a multi-year project delivering retrofit decarbonisation, heat networks and solar PV to sites and public buildings across the City Region.

The role will collaborate with stakeholders including funders, local authorities, supply chain and delivery partners and work alongside the North West Net Zero Hub using a standardised project management framework, methodologies, tools and templates. However, you will have the autonomy to determine the best way forward for your project, motivating and leading the project throughout the project lifecycle.

If you have proven experience of delivering successful Decarbonisation / Retrofit / Regeneration / Energy / Building or Asset Management projects, this is a great role for you.

About the person

Essential skills and knowledge for this role:

  • Relevant degree / project management / professional qualifications.
  • Well established project manager with leadership experience on complex Decarbonisation / Retrofit / Regeneration / Energy / Building or Asset Management projects.
  • Solid experience using Project management methodology and tools including tracking programme plans, risks, issues, change control, lesson learned, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Managing high value project budgets, contracts, grant funding agreements.
  • Good interpersonal skills, leading stakeholder engagement.
  • Good communication skills and experience drafting business cases, briefing papers and reports.
  • Organising and chairing project-related meetings, workshops, engagement and events.
  • IT skills including Microsoft Office products and collaboration (eg SharePoint, Teams)

Salary range

  • £52,769 - £55,853 per year
