About the team
Based within a team of project and programme managers, you will play a crucial role in progressing the Day Service Strategy (2025-2030) for Adult Care Services.
The strategy sets out a vision to develop and enhance our In-house Day Services’ offering, ensuring that individuals have access to high quality support and activities within environments that enable them to live healthy, independent, and fulfilling lives.
This is a pivotal role in shaping the future of our services, working collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver meaningful change.
About the role
You will take a leading role in planning, delivering, and evaluating projects aligned with the strategic delivery plan. Your work will ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and best practice frameworks, while keeping the people who use our services at the heart of everything we do.
In addition, you will contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of continuous improvements within Day Services, helping to shape innovative ways of working and supporting broader initiatives that enhance quality, practice, and performance.
This role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders across health, social care, and community services.
It’s a varied and rewarding position, offering exposure across Adult Care Services and the wider Council, as well as close collaboration with key partners.
About you
Essential
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Previous experience in project management
- Strong communication skills to liaise with internal and external Partners
- Previous experience and ability to work autonomously.
- Strong organisational skills
Desirable:
- A project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile, APM)
- Experience of working with older people and/or people with disabilities
- Experience of interpreting and presenting financial data
- Experience of report writing and preparing presentations
