Full-time, 36 hours per week, 6 month secondment/fixed term opportunity

Join Havering’s Innovation and Improvement Team as we implement the Families First Partnership Programme (FFPP), a bold national reform aiming to revolutionise support for families through early intervention, integrated services, and shared decision-making. This is your opportunity to help build a unified system of family help and child protection, where multi-agency teams work together, with families, to prevent crisis and promote good outcomes for children.

    About the Role

As Project Manager, you will lead the Families First Partnership Programme, championing its change and driving delivery and impact throughout the borough. You’ll manage a varied portfolio of projects within the People Directorate, ensuring alignment with the latest reforms in children’s social care and the council’s strategic direction, including the Corporate Plan and our Integrated Starting Well Plan 2024–2027.

Working closely with senior managers, staff, council departments, and local residents, you’ll ensure robust governance, risk management, and timely, on budget delivery. Most importantly, you’ll coproduce services with key stakeholders, putting the voices of children, young people, and families at the heart of design, transformation, and delivery.

    About You

The ideal candidate is a proactive and inspiring leader, ready to take on the challenge of delivering real change for children, young people and families. Your collaborative and motivating leadership style empowers teams to achieve their best and ensures everyone’s voice is heard. You bring a deep understanding of social care and education services and relevant legislation. Above all, you are committed to making a positive, lasting impact for children, young people, and families, putting their needs at the heart of everything you do.

If you’re ready to utilise your skills and experience to help shape the future of family support in Havering, we’d love to hear from you.

This is a hybrid role with a mix of office-based work (including other locations across the borough) and remote working.
