Brentwood Borough Council and Rochford District Council have an exciting opportunity for the recruitment of a Project Manager (LGR Transition)

We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated professional to work across both council’s, supporting our response to Local Government Reorganisation (LGR). You will:

  • Co-ordinate and contribute to the delivery of the LGR Programme.
  • Act as project manager for LGR projects
  • Act as a key point of contact for the council, facilitating co-ordination of LGR activities and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain awareness of national policy and best practice relating to LGR
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform decision-making
  • Present complex information clearly to diverse audiences
  • Support senior leaders with briefings, reports, and presentations

  • A strategic thinker with a strong background in project management, research and engagement
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to influence and inspire
  • Politically astute and confident working in a complex, fast-paced environment
  • Skilled in project management, data analysis, and stakeholder collaboration
  • Degree-qualified or equivalent experience, with a commitment to continuous learning
