Job description
SLC is offering an exciting opportunity for a skilled Project Manager to lead the delivery of business change and technology projects that have real impact across the organisation. You will be responsible for ensuring successful project outcomes by applying robust governance, monitoring progress, and effectively managing risks, issues, and dependencies. The role involves coordinating stakeholders and suppliers to support smooth project delivery and ensuring the business is fully prepared for change. You will also play an active role in embedding best practice by contributing experience, insight, and lessons learned to our project management community. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates who have worked in either Public Sector or financial services transformation programmes utilising both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.Person specification
- Experience of delivering IT-based systems and project solutions
- Experience of effectively managing and controlling project budgets
- Experience of managing internal and external suppliers and in leading multi-discipline teams
- Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills with experience of reporting to a senior audience
- Effective stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships by communicating, influencing and negotiating at all levels with technical and business teams, project stakeholders and sponsors
- Focus on continuous improvement and developing working practices, for self and others
- Self-motivated and highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Uses initiative to resolve issues and is confident in ability to make decisions
- Strong MS Office suite knowledge, including Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project
