Helping shape services for babies, children, young people and families

We are looking for a motivated and organised Project Officer to support the delivery of the Young Futures Hubs and Youth Transformation Programme within Children's Services. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to projects that help shape and improve services for children and young people across the Island.

Working within the Family and Community Services Team, you will support the coordination and delivery of programme activity, helping to engage partners, communities and stakeholders whilst ensuring the project remains on track and achieve their objectives.

You will play a key role in supporting consultation and co-production activities, organising meetings and events, maintaining project plans and action trackers, and gathering information to help measure the impact of programmes and services.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with children's services colleagues, education colleagues, partner agencies, community organisations and providers to support service transformation and ensure the voices of children, young people are reflected in future service development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of the Young Futures Hubs and Transformation Programme
  • Coordinate project activities and monitor progress against agreed actions and timescales
  • Maintain project plans, action logs, records and performance information
  • Arrange meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes and monitor actions
  • Support consultation, engagement and co-production activities with children, young people, families and stakeholders.
  • Build positive relationships with partner organisations and community groups.
  • Support the collection and analysis of data, feedback and performance information.
  • Assist with reporting, communications and stakeholder engagement activities
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement and development of services

Requirements

  • Experience of supporting projects, programmes or service improvement initiatives.
  • Experience of coordinating consultation, engagement or co-production activities with children, young people, families and stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of organising meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes and maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications, databases and data management systems.
  • Experience of collecting, monitoring and analysing data and performance information.
  • Experience of working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders and partner organisations.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a wider team.
  • Understanding of early intervention, prevention and partnership approaches within Children's Services.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Educated to Level 4 standard or able to demonstrate equivalent experience.
